Designed the complete mobile banking app (iOS and Android) and web platform for Xace, a UK payment institution serving gambling and cryptocurrency industries. Wrote two product requirement documents from scratch, defined the information architecture across 6 tabs, designed PSD2/SCA compliance flows, and created digital card art for Visa/Apple Pay tokenization. Built working React prototypes via V0, deployed to Vercel for engineering validation. App submitted to App Store and Google Play.

The Challenge

Xace had an existing web dashboard serving 500+ business clients but no mobile app — and an unpublished prototype that wasn't ready for market. They needed a product designer who could think beyond screens: someone to define the product architecture, write specs the engineering team could actually build from, and handle the regulatory complexity of designing for PSD2 compliance, Visa brand standards, and multi-jurisdiction licensing (UK, Malta, Canada).

The additional complexity: Xace serves high-risk industries. The UX had to handle gambling operators and crypto exchanges — clients whose transactions require extra scrutiny, approval hierarchies, and compliance workflows that typical banking apps don't need.

Guided approval workflow builder with rule configuration and conditional thresholds — A guided approval workflow engine lets compliance teams build transaction rules with conditional logic — no engineering required. I wrote the PRD and designed the entire UX.

The AI Workflow

Used Claude for PRD co-authoring, conversation summarization across multi-week design sprints, and strategic analysis of client Slack messages. Built working prototypes in V0 with structured design briefs — treating AI as a junior developer executing detailed specs (exact colors, spacing, interaction states, conditional logic). Deployed V0 prototypes to Vercel and shared directly with the engineering team for architectural validation before any Figma handoff.

The workflow: Claude for strategy and copy → V0 for rapid interactive prototyping → Figma for production polish and developer handoff.
